We have lived in Greenville for almost one year.  Very early in our venture, we found Trade Route.  We end up buying something every time we walk into the store.  The people are friendly and extremely helpful. 
I asked them to see if they could find me an old Tai Chi sword.  There is supposed to be one in the next container.
We would recommend Trade Route Import to anyone looking for something unique with an eastern flair.

Trade Route offers a wide selection of Asian products: from large furniture pieces and outdoor statuary to small gift items.  Both new and antique items are offered.  We have traveled to China and appreciate the authenticity of the products they select.  For example, we purchased a carved granite table and four stool set similar to ones we had seen in China.  The four foot high stone statue we bought is the center piece of our Asian garden and receives rave reviews from everyone who sees it. 
Sherry Smid and Louise Ryan are knowledgeable about China and Thailand and the background of the products they import.  They have excellent taste and choose products that are unique, interesting, appealing, and fairly priced.  They and their staff consistently provide outstanding customer service in a friendly manner.  It is always a pleasure to shop at Trade Route.

Trade Route is more than a store it's an experience.  Every aisle offers a treasure hunt of unique items hand-picked by Sherry and Louise on their trips to Tibet, Thailand, China and other fabulous places.
My favorite part of buying things from Trade Route is how everything has a story.  I don't just get great craftsmanship I also get to know about the artists who created my purchase.  
Beautiful pieces, wonderful tales and always, always a smile as I walk through the door...I just love this place!

It's easy to say we love Trade Route.  It's filled wall-to-wall with unique and fascinating furniture you can't find anywhere else.  There are also beautiful pieces of art, from wall scrolls to paintings to sculpture.  It's always worth a visit and a look around at Trade Route, and the staff are helpful and friendly.  Thanks to them, we have a exquisite coffee table, made from an old Chinese window, that is an excellent centerpiece in our living room.  And we've turned old Chinese door knockers into towel holders for our guest bathroom.
